Implant Grade Titanium Piercings

Rose gold tragus earrings offer a warm, blush-toned accent for one of the most popular ear piercings. Every rose gold tragus earring at Camden Body Jewellery is crafted from implant-grade titanium (ASTM F136) with a PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) rose gold finish — the colour is bonded at a molecular level, so it will not chip, tarnish or fade, even with constant wear against the small cartilage flap at the front of the ear canal.

This collection includes rose gold flat back labret studs and small clicker hoops designed for 16G (1.2mm) tragus piercings. Flat back earrings are the most common style for tragus piercings — the disc-shaped back sits flush inside the ear, preventing irritation from earbuds, pillows or headphones, while the decorative front faces outward. Clicker hoops offer a sleek alternative once the piercing is fully healed.

The tragus is the small, thick piece of cartilage that partially covers the ear canal. Standard tragus piercings use 16G (1.2mm) gauge jewellery with a 6mm internal bar length. Tragus piercings typically take 3–6 months to heal fully. During healing, a flat back stud is recommended to minimise movement and snagging. Once healed, both studs and small-diameter hoops (6mm inner diameter) can be worn comfortably.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is rose gold tragus jewellery safe for sensitive skin?
Yes. All rose gold tragus earrings at CBJ are made from ASTM F136 implant-grade titanium with a PVD coating. Titanium is nickel-free and hypoallergenic, making it suitable for sensitive skin and freshly healed tragus piercings.

Will the rose gold finish wear off?
No. PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) bonds the rose gold colour to the titanium at a molecular level. The coating is highly resistant to scratching, fading and tarnishing — it will maintain its warm blush tone even with daily wear.

What size tragus earring do I need?
Most tragus piercings use 16G (1.2mm) gauge jewellery with a 6mm internal bar length. If your piercing is still settling or swollen, an 8mm bar may be more comfortable until the swelling subsides.

Can I wear earbuds with a tragus piercing?
Yes, once healed. Flat back labret studs are the best choice for tragus piercings if you regularly use earbuds, as the smooth disc back sits flush inside the ear and does not interfere with most earbud designs.
