An industrial piercing, also known as a scaffold piercing, involves two separate piercings within the ear's cartilage connected by a single straight piece of jewellery. Typically, the two piercings are placed one on the upper cartilage close to the head, known as the forward helix, and the other on the lower part of the opposite side of the ear's upper cartilage.
